The community you’ll be caring for:
· Join a family of caregivers focused on whole-person health and committed to making communities healthier.
· Provide wholistic care for patients that extends to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families. Chaplains are available to meet with patients, families and team members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide spiritual support.
· Help develop a brand new $150 million community hospital and medical office building that will provide services such as Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Women’s Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology and Gastroenterology.

The role you’ll contribute:
The Business Development Director is directly responsible for the long-term growth of the assigned market. This individual is an integral team member of the market leadership team. The Business Development Director will be expected to have a deep understanding of the market, the competitive landscape, and the external forces impacting the business. This individual will also assist with the strategic planning and visioning for expanding new or changing programs and services and driving innovation through a unified market strategy. Responsibilities will include strategic business-plan presentations to the senior-most leaders of the organization, proforma and budget development, market portfolio analysis, stakeholder engagement and market performance monitoring. The Business Development Director works directly with market leadership and regional leadership to develop and implement business and network development initiatives that are in harmony with and advance the market's strategic plan and priorities. The Director plays an integral role in cultivating and maintaining quality relationships with physicians and other key community partners in the market. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Strategy development and long-term planning for designated market in collaboration with physicians, market leaders, and business unit leaders
Develop all business plans and provide oversight to the proforma process; ensure all parties are informed, approvals are received, and implementation is successful.
Drives all key stakeholders, ensuring accountability for timely and successful implementation of key initiatives.
Identify, manage and cultivate new revenue and/or partnership strategies and relationships to secure new business opportunities.
Directly responsible for ensuring assigned market has aggressive growth strategies aimed to improve market share, profitability and/or long-term viability and that key stakeholders are engaged in the execution of those strategies.
Directly interface with THMA physicians and senior leadership for physician alignment assuring financial stability and market growth
Creates and tests alternate business models to allow for agility and responsiveness as market dynamics demand.
Develops and implements business and network development initiatives to advance the market’s strategic plan and priorities.
Responsible for cultivating and maintaining quality relationships with physicians and other key community partners in the market.
Responsible for Orthopedic Institute development, growth and operations.
COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Establishes new strategic business models and/or joint ventures as appropriate to meet the changing demands of the healthcare marketplace and the specific market.
Responsibility to operate in a compliant manner particularly as it relates to our relationships with physicians.
Stays informed of regulatory changes.
Seeks guidance from legal or compliance teams as appropriate.
OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Indirect responsibilities to support financial performance of assigned market.
Drives capital planning, proforma development and budgeting as it relates to new business ventures.
Helps to develop volume budgets as it relates to the assigned market across service line and ambulatory business units.
STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY:
Provides executive-level strategic planning support to the organization as it relates to the assigned market. This includes key involvement in the annual planning cycle in addition to creating longer-range business plans.
Responsible for maintaining innovative thinking related to market development and asset placement.
Ensures AH service offerings are relevant, enhance the consumer and provider experience, and differentiators in the market.
Maintains deep and current knowledge of competitive activity and industry trends.
Ensures strategies are in alignment with AdventHealth’s Southwest Region plan.
PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
Ensures efficient and timely execution of development plans.
Shares responsibility for product line volumes to ensure market success and viability through ongoing performance assessment.
Recognizes deficiencies and addresses through cross-departmental work plans and influence, pivots strategies appropriately.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS RESPONSIBILITY:
Represents the AdventHealth mission and brand.
Is an active member in their community.
STAFFING/LABOR/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Will have supervisory oversight of physician liaison team.The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field required
3 Years in healthcare, business development, strategic planning and/or operations preferred
