The Director of Business Operations is responsible for leading and managing Amergis' field offices. The position works directly with the Business Development and Recruiting teams, and partners with the Field Support Group and Clinical teams to manage the acquisition, growth, and retention of long-term customer relationships. The Director of Business Operations is responsible for talent and performance management, quality control, and measurable progress towards Maxim’s goals for continuous improvement and teamwork. The Director of Business Operations identifies and drives growth opportunities while managing the performance of all team members.
The Director of Business Operations is accountable to federal, state, local programs and contracts, accrediting bodies and Amergis requirements. The Director of Business Operations must meet specific state requirements to fulfill Administrator responsibilities, and if not a Registered Nurse, a qualified clinical manager must be appointed to oversee the clinical management of the office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Creates a culture which fosters a positive experience for caregivers, field staff and team members
+ Responsible for customer service and satisfaction as it relates to both the customer and referring entities
+ Communicates and models the company’s purpose, mission, and guiding principles
+ Maintains key, high level civic relationships in the community to allow visibility into the future of the business
+ Responsible for developing business plans that lead to the achievement of business goals and financial targets
+ Oversees, guides, directs, and manages the execution of market performance by defining both short term and long term vision
+ Maintains business development and leadership pipelines
+ Partners with National Sales to pursue large accounts
+ Balances project work with sustainable business
+ Manages consistency in the business development process
+ Promotes company policy, procedure, and strong business ethics including compliance with federal, state, and local laws
+ Partners with Clinical and Field Support leaders to achieve expected business results and company established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
+ Oversees creation and execution of recruiting strategy for all business lines
+ Responsible for the hiring and the development of team members including strategies for performance management, encouraging ownership of job responsibilities, driving accountability, defining career paths, cultivating growth and interest in Amergis Healthcare Group and increasing employee retention
+ Manages the execution of daily Red Zone meetings
+ Responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of Plan of Corrections, Root Cause Analysis and Quality Improvement initiatives in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Group policy
+ Collaborates with departments at headquarters including but not limited to, Compliance, Legal, Government Relations, Clinical, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Communications, and National Sales
+ Responsible for overseeing completion of all required activity tracking, reports, and corrective action plans
+ Manages the oversight of and may participate in on-call responsibilities. Ensures qualified individuals are available during and after business hours to provide support to caregivers, current patients, new patients, or referral sources requesting services.
+ Serves as a member of the Governing Body and Professional Advisory Board
+ Accountable to federal, state, local programs and contracts, accrediting bodies and Maxim requirements
+ May serve as the Administrator as required by state regulation
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
+ Undergraduate degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Healthcare Administration; or licensed RN
+ Minimum of two years business development experience in healthcare preferred or other relevant business development experience
+ Minimum of one year supervisory or administrative experience preferred in home healthcare or related healthcare programs
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Knowledge of homecare requirements and third-party reimbursement
+ Ability to effectively elicit from and provide information to all team members, caregivers and clients using strong communication skills
+ Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
