The Director of Campus and Clinical IT Services is accountable for ensuring local Information Technology, audio-visual (AV) and clinical services are aligned to meet the requirements for the campus and podiatric program, as well as the educational mission of all programs for the Touro University / New York College of Podiatric Medicine campus. The Director will partner with the academic leadership and work closely with Touro University Central IT to continuously improve services. Information Security, system availability and academic environments for hybrid learning. This position will collaborate with the Dean, IT committees, Chief Academic Officers, and Touro University Chief Information Officer.
Responsibilities Partners and confers with local academic and administrative leaders, faculty, staff, clinicians, and the student representatives to ensure technology is available for the campus and clinic.Works with faculty, administration, and students to identify trends in the technology landscape and works with central IT to address for potential service improvements.In conjunction with the TouroOne helpdesk this position will manage local support for incident management and IT service requests to ensure adherence to published service level objectives (SLO)In conjunction with Touro central IT, CISO and Legal to implement new software solution and ensure due diligence.In partnership with central IT develop strategies to support business continuity and disaster recoveryOversees the local technology, clinical and AV budgeting and spending.Oversees IT support staff and service delivery ensure continual growth to best support the developing technology landscape.Responsible for staff development, including training, mentoring, and participation in recruitment efforts as needed, while supervising technical and operational professionals as a people manager to ensure effective performance and collaborationWorks with central IT, CISO to address security and risk mitigation on processes and technology.Responsible for campus adherence to published information technology and Information security published policies and procedures.Partners with instructional technology to implement the strategies and technologies to manage Learning Management System, video libraries and accreditation requirements.Supports video conferencing and recording solutions.Maintains listing of IT and AV inventoryMaintain a collaborative dialogue with Central IT to propose solutions and technologies to benefit the campus, clinic, and University system.Other activities as requested by supervisor QualificationsEducation/ Experience
Bachelor's Degree required with a Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.At least 3 years of relevant experience in Information Technology Service Delivery, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory responsibilitiesPrior experience in higher education/ clinical IT environments preferredCertifications such as (e.g.: ITIL & PMP) preferredKnowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skillsSkilled in problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to effectively address technology-related challengesFlexibility to adapt to changing technological landscapes and institutional needs.The ability to work in a regulated environment, such as HIPAA and FERPA Computer SkillsKnowledge of virtualization and Microsoft technologiesExperience with Learning Management Systems; Canvas preferred.Experience with hybrid learning and communications.Travel
