As an extension of the Administrative Staff, the Director participates in the development and evaluation of existing and new programs; maintains quality performance according to Hospital policies and The Joint Commission standards; and coordinates department functions to ensure effective, efficient and safe patient care. The Director ensures the delivery of care at the Hospital is based upon criteria that is appropriate for the age of the patient served and includes aspects of care related to the psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. 1. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Cardiovascular Services. 2. Demonstrates the ability to plan and implement appropriate clinical services. 3. Recognizes the needs and concerns of people and maintains constructive relationships in dealing with supervisors and staff. 4. Communicates effectively through writing and orally. 5. Participates in counseling and guidance of personnel. 6. Acts as a mediator between patient care and administration. 7. Assumes a leadership role with the health care team in planning and delivery of patient care. 8. Recognizes personal responsibility in striving for innovative health care delivery, which meets contemporary needs and assumes leadership in negotiating for changes in health care **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Master's preferred + Minimum of 5 years clinical experience required. Previous management experience preferred.
