Director of Clinic Operations
Job Description

1.  POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for the administration of the local medical clinics.  Supervision and coordination of billing, collection, audits, system controls, staff supervision, physician relations, clinic openings, budget management, employee training, general operations, supervision and other duties, as assigned.

General Responsibilities

Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, and medical or employment status of patients of Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland and their families.  

Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices.

Participate in Performance Improvement activities.

Communicate in an acceptable, easily understood manner.

Directs, supervises and coordinates all activities of the clinics as requested including computer systems, accounting, materials management and human resources.

Coordinates and monitors the medical activities to ensure cost-effective and high-quality healthcare for patients.

Interacts with medical, administrative and departmental staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Reviews and interprets operational problems and policies. Resolves problems and recommends changes to the appropriate administrative representative.

Assists Administrator in preparation, implementation and monitoring of budgets.

Resolves problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies.

Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep pace with healthcare trends.

 

2.  POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  

Bachelor’s degree in a related specialty area required.

Experience:  

At least 5 years of previous physician management/practice experience required
