What you will do:

The Operations Director is responsible for the planning, priority setting, coordination, and evaluation of programs for those seeking Behavioral Health Services across our continuum, ensuring high reliability of services offered.

Additionally, this position spans the entirety of St. Peters Health Partners, ensuring education for colleagues, providers, and leaders around the population seeking behavioral health services. This position assists in identifying and operationalizing integration efforts of behavioral health services across the system with key stakeholders and other service lines to provide whole person care that treat both the mental and physical health of our patients served.

This position is also responsible for identifying and maintaining relationships with key community stakeholders and regulatory agencies to ensure psychiatric services out of SPHP remain at the forefront of decision making for local government units as well as key state regulatory agencies. This position supports efforts across the care continuum as a subject matter expert as it relates to suicide prevention, PRO’s programs, inpatient psychiatric needs, Crisis services as well as outpatient mental health services, the regulations that govern them as well as the operationalization of them.

This Director serves as an ambassador to the larger counties/government agencies such as HANYS and advocates for applicable grants, future/needed legislation, and services for this vulnerable population. This position oversees progression of care for behavioral health patients within the system and works to ensure access for all in need while ensuring good stewardship of resources while being fiscally responsible.

Responsibilities:

Establishes policies and procedures to meet quality and utilization management criteria of regulatory bodies, JCAHO, OASAS, the Dept. of Health, Office of Mental Health and other governmental bodies and third-party payers, where applicable. Provides oversight of inpatient, outpatient and residential services.Appropriately responds to the changing health care environment.Represents SPHP Psychiatric Services in the community through participation in professional and community activities.Assumes a leadership role in committees, program groups and improvement teams.Strives to achieve increasingly higher employee and patient satisfaction.Uses evidence based and best practices for improvement activities.Assures that all management staff receives training regarding the agency’s philosophy, applicable federal, state and county laws and regulations and quality management principles.Ensures compliance with New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse regulations, Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations standards and other applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.  Such requirements may pertain to Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Infection Control, Mandated In-services, Compliance Programs, HIPAA, etc.With interdepartmental and intradepartmental staff, coordinates the technical and human resource aspects of the Department to ensure high quality, cost effective operations, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.Balances creativity and risk taking with practicality and accountability for achieving quality outcomes.Ensures the standards of professional practice are established and implemented so that appropriate high quality care is provided to patients and timely patient outcomes are achieved to enhance the patient experience.Supports and fosters a commitment to continuous quality improvement, partnering with the larger quality service line across Trinity Health New York Responsible to provide direction and assist managers and oversee all site visits by regulatory and accrediting bodiesDevelops and monitors outpatient productivity standards to ensure financial performance.Develops and monitors Psychiatric & Counseling Center productivity standards to ensure financial performance.Monitors Inpatient Units census, revenue and expenses. Develops plans for implementation of programs of care and/or additional services.Identifies unmet programmatic needs of populations and develops business plans for new programs/services or expansion of existing ones.Participates with management staff and clinical executive in policy development and strategic planning.Provides an environment that supports and encourages interest in clinical and administrative research.

What you will need:

Master's degree is required.Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Nursing Degree or other advanced licensed professional preferred.A minimum of five years recent experience providing clinical, administrative, and fiscal supervision in a behavioral health setting, specifically substance abuse, and preferably with multi-site supervisory responsibilities and mental health treatment experience.Demonstrated knowledge of JCAHO (CSM) standards and OMH/OASIS regulatory requirements related to all levels of care in behavioral health services.At least two years’ experience in the provision of direct care in a chemical dependency setting, inclusive of the QHP requirement.

Pay Range: $50.50 - $80.80

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
