Alternatives, Inc. in Raritan, NJ is looking to hire a Director of Community Outreach Services (COS) to supervise an interdisciplinary team of professionals whose credentials include LCSWs, LPCs and Trauma Informed Professionals, along with staff possessing advanced degrees in the Human Services field. t\n

For over 40 years, Alternatives, Inc. has been dedicated to providing the best in support services to adults with Developmental\/Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Illnesses. Services include Residential, Behavior Support, Support Coordination and Recreation. The Community Outreach Services Department offers Community Support Services (CSS) for adults with mental health and housing needs in Somerset County. \n
\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

- Supervision and management of multiple program staff within Somerset County\n

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines\n

- Development and maintenance of collaborative partnerships with federal state and local government agencies\n

- Navigation and management of the electronic health record (eHR) system efficiently\n

- Participation in monthly on-call rotation\n

- Oversight of HR functions including training and employee termination processes\n
\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\n

- Clinical license required (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)\n

- Bachelor's degree in human services related field required\n

- Experience working with individuals who have mental illness\n

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n

- Familiarity or prior experience with Fee-For-Service Medicaid environments is a plus.\n

- Experience working with electronic health record system and Medicaid reimbursement programs a plus\n

- Ability to pass criminal\/registry background checks\n
\n

TRAINING:\n

All employees are required to complete 10-15 trainings upon hire and on an ongoing basis Trainings are a combination of in person, which require staff to commute to the main office in Raritan NJ, and remote, using Go To Meeting All trainings are paid\n
