80,000 per year | Raritan, NJ, USA | Salary | Behavioral Supports | Full Time For over 40 years, Alternatives, Inc. has been dedicated to providing the best in support services to adults who are experiencing Mental Illnesses, homelessness, as well as services for individual with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. The Community Outreach Services Department (COS) specifically operates multiple programs, including Community Support Services program (CSS) for adults with mental health and housing needs. CSS is managed by an interdisciplinary team of professionals whose credentials include LCSWs, LPCs and Trauma Informed Professionals, along with staff possessing advanced degrees in the Human Services field. This Department also supervises a transitional housing program for homeless women and their children, which provides 24 hour care to these families. Additionally, the COS department manages numerous other permanent housing programs for those experiencing homelessness, and those who have disabilities due to mental/medical illnesses. The Community Outreach Services Department is currently seeking a Director of Community Outreach Services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervision and management of multiple program staff within Somerset County - Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines - Development and maintenance of collaborative partnerships with federal state and local government agencies - Navigation and management of the electronic health record (eHR) system efficiently - Participation in monthly on-call rotation - Oversight of HR functions including training and employee termination processes QUALIFICATIONS: - Clinical license required (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) - Bachelor's degree in human services related field required - Experience working with individuals who have mental illness - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Familiarity or prior experience with Fee-For-Service Medicaid environments is a plus. - Experience working with electronic health record system and Medicaid reimbursement programs a plus - Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks TRAINING: All employees are required to complete 10-15 trainings upon hire and on an ongoing basis Trainings are a combination of in person, which require staff to commute to the main office in Raritan NJ, and remote, using Go To Meeting.
