Director of Compliance – Industry & Partner Sales

Reporting to the General Manager of IPS Strategy and Operations, this role will be responsible for providing project and program management leadership across a diverse range of strategic IPS compliance focus areas Microsoft Secure Future Initiative (SFI), Responsible AI, privacy, anti-corruption/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), trade, and new/evolving strategic initiatives as prioritized. Working closely with Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA), Finance, HR and other key business partners across IPS and Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), you will not only drive significant business impact for IPS, but also enable organizational clarity, effectiveness and impact across our teams.   Each day will be different and will require agility, teamwork, and a commitment to operate at the highest levels of integrity, inclusivity, trust, and our _learn-it-all_ culture. Working in close partnership with IPS/MCAPS teams and key business partners, you will drive cross-org coordination and execution of core compliance rhythms, requirements/actions, reporting/executive status updates, etc. on time and with quality. + You will serve as a program manager across IPS compliance/operational workstreams as prioritized. Working in close partnership with the Director of IPS Planning and Operations, cross-IPS teams, cross-MCAPS teams and key business partners, you will execute planning, setup (e.g., IPS compliance infrastructure, project plans, templates, etc.), and overall status reporting/communications to ensure core compliance planning milestones are achieved on time and with quality. + You will lead, implement and/or manage strategic IPS compliance programs or initiatives (as prioritized) to drive operational excellence that empowers our sales organization at scale. Core responsibilities include: + Identifying key opportunities for business improvement through a combination of analytics, qualitative insights, and business acumen. + Performing landscape research and analysis (e.g., cross-IPS, cross-MCAPS, cross-MSFT) to drive scoping and solution recommendations for key program/operational priorities. + Defining project/program requirements and creating project plan(s), timelines, communication rhythms/deliverables, status/risk management protocols and success measures/KPIs to ensure teams align and execute on a clear plan of record. + You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. compliance leads/champs) to 1) build consensus across key program/initiative goals and strategies and 2) ensure programmatic and/or business processes are rigorous, executed on-time/on-plan- with operational excellence. **Other**    + Embody our  culture  and  values    **Qualifications** ** ** **Required/Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement + OR equivalent experience. + 4+ years of strategic program and/or project management experience in a technology organization, working across global stakeholders, multiple functions, and complex interdependencies. + 4+ years of compliance-related experience in one or more of the following areas: security, privacy, anti-corruption (FCPA), trade, accessibility, supplier compliance. **Additional/Preferred Qualifications** + Analytical and problem-solving skills with solid finance/business acumen + Ability to accurately assess and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information (e.g., Return on Investment, Key Performance Indicators, business performance-to-value drivers, core data analytics, etc.), draw conclusions, present solutions to management and drive overall execution across a complex program. + Adept at traversing business, people, and profit & loss priorities with proven success in leading and executing across multiple, concurrent workstreams/initiatives. + Track record in building partnerships and influencing stakeholder groups, as well as sophistication in internal advocacy in a large, dynamic and highly matrixed environment + Work experience from business management, program/project management, finance, management consulting and/or change management preferred. + Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Business, Operations, Finance or related field.  Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
