We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Construction to oversee and manage our construction projects across various sectors. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Strategic Planning and Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. + Team Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. + Project Coordination: Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate successful project delivery. + Construction Management: Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. + Compliance Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance throughout all construction activities. + Project Oversight: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. + Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, monitoring expenditures and cost control measures. Review and approve project cost estimates, change orders, and vendor contracts to ensure financial accuracy. + Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders. + Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and challenges in construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen issues and minimize project disruptions. QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management / Civil Engineering or Architecture, or related field. Master's degree preferred. + Proven experience in development and construction management, particularly in the hospitality or real estate sector. + Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. + Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. + Strong troubleshooting skills, applicant must be able to determine the causes of complex problems. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. + Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
