We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Content Marketing to join our brand & content team. The primary focus of this role will be leading our global content strategy, managing a team of content creators, and driving measurable business results through innovative content initiatives. This leader will oversee our entire content ecosystem, align content with business objectives, and build effective relationships with executive stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with company vision and business objectives.
Establish content governance frameworks, editorial guidelines, and quality standards across all content initiatives.
Identify emerging content trends and opportunities to position RingCentral as a thought leader in the industry.
Drive content innovation to differentiate the brand in a competitive marketplace.
Team Management & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content marketing managers, writers, and specialists.
Build and manage relationships with external content agencies and freelancers to scale content production.
Establish clear performance expectations and career development paths for team members.
Foster a creative, collaborative, and high-performing content culture.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with C-suite and executive stakeholders to ensure content initiatives support strategic business priorities.
Collaborate with product marketing, demand generation, sales enablement, and customer success to create integrated content experiences.
Work closely with PR and communications teams to align messaging and maximize content impact.
Budget & Resource Management:
Develop and manage the annual content marketing budget.
Allocate resources effectively across different content initiatives based on strategic priorities and ROI potential.
Implement efficient content production processes and workflows to maximize team productivity.
Performance Measurement & Optimization:
Establish comprehensive KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure content effectiveness.
Lead data-driven content optimization initiatives to continuously improve performance.
Present content performance insights to executive leadership with clear recommendations.
Implement content attribution models to demonstrate marketing contribution to pipeline and revenue.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of progressive content marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Extensive experience developing and executing content strategies for enterprise B2B SaaS companies.
Proven track record of building and leading high-performing content teams.
Strong executive presence with experience presenting to and influencing C-level stakeholders.
Deep understanding of B2B buyer journeys and how content influences purchasing decisions.
Strategic mindset with the ability to connect content initiatives to business outcomes.
Experience managing substantial content marketing budgets ($1M+).
Excellent people management skills with a focus on talent development.
Strong analytical capabilities and experience with content attribution models.
Experience implementing content technology stacks and marketing automation systems.
Knowledge of SEO, demand generation, sales enablement, and ABM best practices.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

If you are hired in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Maryland, Washington, Connecticut, Rhode Island, the compensation range for this position is between $151,200 and $234,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
