We are currently looking for a Director of CRM to add to our dynamic team.
About The Role: At RetailMeNot, we're rewriting the narrative of couponing, transforming it from a last-minute necessity to an exciting journey of savings and rewards. We're not just a platform for discount codes; we're a shopping concierge where our members earn while they spend. Through validation, curation and recommendation of promotions across all channels—be it web, app, extension, or email—we strive to ensure best of web value for our customers. As Director of CRM, you’ll play a key leadership role on our Audience Development team to drive consumer engagement & retention, new product adoption, as well as monetization of Ziff Davis Shopping’s CRM channels, including email, mobile, and web push. You’ll also play a critical role in the strategic direction, vision and implementation of RetailMeNot’s loyalty program. Devising campaigns to drive growth in frequency and lifetime value of our users. The ideal person for this role has best-in-class experience with B2C marketing automation systems and is passionate about leveraging big data for personalization and insights to drive the program forward. You must also love to lead and mentor people, and work closely with and influence cross functional partners to solve big business challenges. The ideal person for this position is marketing and tech savvy, data-driven, and has hands-on experience working and leading collaboratively across teams.
What You’ll Do:Develop an overall B2C CRM strategy to engage shoppers across the Ziff Davis Shopping portfolio (RetailMeNot, Offers.com, BlackFriday.com, etc) with personalized, targeted, and relevant marketing across all lifecycle stagesCreate and implement a strategy for optimizing the frequency and sequencing of communications across multiple CRM channelsManage cross-functional relationships and processes to ensure internal teams are aligned and executing on messaging, priorities and measures of CRM successOversee creation and execution of all email (transactional and promotional), push notifications, and in-app campaigns in our CRM toolsDevise and implement a testing plan to enable rapid experimentation aimed at increasing the effectiveness of CRM effortsManage and grow our active email list and push audiences in partnership with our paid marketing and product teamsWork closely with the product team to ensure we are aligned on CRM business needs and upcoming product improvements.Work with data science, product, and engineering teams to define feature and data requirements for new communications and improve the intelligence available for relevant, personalized, real-time marketingPartner with our Sales, Ad Operations, and Product Marketing teams to understand the needs of our advertisers and promote sponsored content across CRM channelsEnsure the performance of all campaigns is analyzed based on clearly defined success metrics and find opportunities for future improvementsLead buy vs. build decisions related to CRM tools and capabilities including evaluating, onboarding, and integrating with new vendors and technologyOversee defining and documenting briefs, business rules, data / tech requirements, and system integrations, as well as processes and procedures for all campaignsBe a thought leader for the company on relevant trends, insights, and technologies that impact the CRM and ecomm industries.Lead and mentor CRM team
Qualifications:You are a CRM champion, always advocating for the user and striving for best-in-class programming.You are excited by the challenge of driving clarity from ambiguity, and balancing a long-term vision with short-term results.You have 10+ years of CRM marketing experience including innovative campaigns, personalized trigger campaigns, cross-sell initiatives, targeted promotions/offers, and managing preference centersYou are passionate about testing and moving the needle5+ years recruiting, leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teamsBachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or a related fieldExperience working with product, eng, data and analytics teams for complex database marketing, data / tech requirements gathering, and integration with CRM and CDP technologiesStrong analytical skills with the ability to quickly consume large amounts of data and draw insights that drive the business forwardExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence othersExperience with Braze customer engagement platform and Radar location services a plusSolutions-oriented with the curiosity and confidence to try new thingsFlexible and adaptable to business needs and able to pivot as neededPositive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
