Position Overview
The Director of Crop Protection Marketing hold the distinction of leading one of the largest crop protection distribution businesses in the United States. This role is responsible for the STAMPS P&L that encompasses both the proprietary and partnered brand portfolios for Seed Treatments, Adjuvants, Micronutrients, Plant Growth Regulators and Biologicals. This influential position will be at the forefront of shaping the strategic vision, implementing the business strategy and orchestrating the work to deliver the financial objectives of the STAMPS portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and P&L Ownership (40%):
Owns P&L for STAMPS portfolio including managing investments and expenses to deliver profitable growth and balances initiatives to capitalize on growth while delivering the bottom line
Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies including pricing, channel, customer, customer segmentation and new products/services
Owns innovation strategy for STAMPS portfolio in collaboration with R&D and Brand Marketing
Leads annual business planning for end-to-end business for all product segments across STAMPS portfolio
Partners with FP&A on financial projections and supports sales and operations planning
Stakeholder Collaboration (30%):
Demonstrates influential leadership to achieve success when working cross functionally and through others.
Delivers synthesized business results, watchouts, and opportunities to advise senior leaders
Partners with business experts on insights and development of pricing and trade execution
Develops a deep understanding of market and industry dynamics, business, competition, brand landscape, customers, consumers and industry
Builds and maintains relationships with key customers, suppliers, and other business partners
Partners with Global Marketing on brand marketing and promotional strategies
Business Insights and Analytics (15%):
Establishes and monitors business KPIs to track progress and ensure alignment with objectives
Leverages and owns business insights (i.e. market, customer, retailer, competitive, sales, pricing) and business analytics to make fact-based, data-driven decisions
Builds business processes including risk management and negotiations with suppliers and/or customers
People and Team Development (15%):
Exercise efficient decision making while driving and influencing the vital few strategies in alignment with team goals
Recruits, develops, and retains top talent, fostering a high performing team culture
Provides coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to empower team members and enhance capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Business, Marketing or related degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in agriculture industry that includes at least 5+ years of experience in Crop Protection or related field. Marketing leadership experience preferred.
Proven financial and business acumen including track record of successful P&L management
Experienced leader skilled at empowering teams to collaborate and drive results.
Experience in market backed innovation and end to end business understanding including R&D and commercial sales
Strategic thinking capability and ability to solve complex problems, to pivot when required, and a high level of comfort with ambiguity
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Curious self-starter, eager to drive results in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
