Job Summary\:

The Center for Professional Development in Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the College of Education and Human Development is a grant funded Center

charged with delivering a range of services and provides field-based teacher education programming in a specialized setting in the Eastern region of the state. 

The Director of the CTE center will provide leadership in the implementation of the PA Department of Education’s (PDE) Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE) grant guidelines with the goal of student success and continuous improvement of Temple’s CTE program and secondary partnerships.

This position will monitor grant requirements to ensure compliance, develop, write and implement relevant local plans, fulfill requirements for Annual Performance Reports or other requirements for reporting. This position will also require adherence to all university and college policies, procedures, and processes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\:

A bachelor’s degree and at least eight (8) years of directly related experience, including leadership of larger team consisting of both hybrid and onsite employees, experience in the area of partnership development with funding agencies. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Prior leadership experience in the CTE sector and a thorough understanding of Vocational Education is required.

Preferred

Master’s degree, Previous experience working in Higher Education, community development and networking, program development, personnel and financial 

management.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
