Job Summary We are seeking a Director of Dining Services at Jones Day, a prestigious boutique law firm, to oversee catering, pantry management, and related services for the firm. This is a one-person team role that will involve sourcing catering from third-party vendors, stocking snacks and beverages, and assisting with administrative tasks as requested by the client. The role also includes managing inventory, financials, and billing for the dining services provided. The Director of Dining Services will play a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction through food service and hospitality, while supporting the firm’s broader operational needs. Key Responsibilities: + Source catering from third-party vendors, ensuring high-quality food offerings for meetings, receptions, and events. + Pick up orders from vendors and ensure timely delivery of catering to meet firm needs. + Oversee the firm’s snack and coffee pantry, including stocking and organizing of food and beverages. + Maintain two pantries, ensuring a continuous supply of snacks and beverages for staff and clients. + Repackage pantries and prepare coffee and beverages as needed. + Coordinate and organize the monthly evening receptions, including ordering food from third-party vendors and managing event logistics. + Assist with administrative tasks, mail handling, and reception duties during downtime as requested by the client. + Manage all aspects of financials related to dining services, including invoicing, billing to the client, and maintaining budgetary oversight. + Monitor and manage inventory levels for snacks, beverages, and supplies, ensuring that orders are placed in a timely and cost-effective manner. + Collaborate with the District Manager to ensure all dining services are in line with client expectations and operational needs. Preferred Qualifications: + Prior experience in food service management, catering, or related hospitality field, + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a small team environment. + Ability to maintain excellent relationships with third-party vendors and internal teams. + Familiarity with financial management, including billing, inventory tracking, and budget oversight. + Flexibility to work evening hours when required for special events or receptions. + Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. + Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment with administrative support duties. + No in-house cooking is required, but prior experience with vendor coordination and event planning is a plus. + Typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, with some evenings per business need + Evening flexibility required for events or receptions (1-2 times per month) Apply to Flik today!
