Salary: $80,000-$90,000
The Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) will partner with the Chief Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging Officer to advance Advocates’ DEIB strategies by managing the continuous growth of various programs and utilizing data to inform decisions and programming. This role is responsible for developing, embedding, and sustaining tools, resources, and initiatives that enable Advocates employees and the people we support to better understand and utilize DEIB opportunities, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace aligned with organizational values, vision, mission, and business objectives. The DEIB Director will partner with the DEIB Officer to ensure that all DEIB programs and initiatives are structurally and strategically sound.
This position is hybrid, requiring some work and meetings at various Advocates locations.
Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Degree Responsibilities Partner with the Chief DEIB Officer and other leaders to create and embed sound program infrastructure.Collaborate with the Chief DEIB Officer in data tracking, analysis and reporting.Provide support in program visits in providing DEIB-related support.Provide in-person and virtual outreach training and associated support.Partner to strengthen external partners outside Advocates.Oversee all day-to-day programmatic and initiative operations, including the delivery and implementation of DEIB education/learning programs, organization of DEIB events, and operations of the Diversity Advisory Council and Employee Resource Groups.Collaborate with the Chief DEIB Officer to work with learning management systems to assess, track, and deliver DEIB education programs and learning processes.Partner with the Learning and Development Team to develop and maintain diversity training programs for the organization, including initial identification of needs, content development, implementation, and facilitation.Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement, including DEIB dashboards/Portals.Manage budget and other resources for maximum productivity.Be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of all DEIB reports and communications, including the Vitals website.Work with our Communications team to build communication plans and provide content.Promote awareness, ownership, and adoption that advance our shared responsibility for facilitating a culture of equity and belonging.Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an applicable business discipline or similar required. Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field preferred. 3-5 years of program management experience, particularly in organizing medium and large-scale programs, problem-solving, and change management.Ability to develop, understand, and analyze data to inform initiatives, including the preparation of data reports.Must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the interpersonal skills necessary to interface at all levels of the organization.Strong computer/technical skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.Proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information.Excellent interpersonal skills required for educating and providing feedback to various medical and administrative staff.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Commitment to advancing organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds, and levels within and external to the organization.Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.Deep knowledge of trends, best practices, and emerging DEIB philosophies and innovations.Advocates is committed to cultivating a diverse and welcoming community where everyone feels respected and valued.
