About the Role:
The Director of Ecommerce will be responsible for driving growth and margin targets for our Rhyz entities, with a primary focus on beauty, wellness, and lifestyle consumer brands. The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our online platform, optimizing the customer journey, user experience, enhancing and improving our SEO rankings, improving path to purchase, enhancing search, and ultimately building a best-in-class customer experience for all our customers.
The role requires a data-driven, strategic thinker, willing to roll up their sleeves and drive to results and a deep understanding of what it takes to build an amazing digital experience across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands. The successful candidates will be highly collaborative, willing to take strong positions, loosely held as they test and learn, and be a strong advocate for the customer experience. A successful candidate will be able to work with the various Rhyz brands, translate their brand needs to an amazing site experience. Must have deep experience in site performance-hacking, CRO, data analysis and insights, retention optimization and full funnel activations.
This person will report directly into the VP of Strategy & Corporate Development who oversees our Rhyz entities. This person will build out a small team over time and need to be hands on to drive success.

Create an exemplary site experience – You’ll drive the holistic site strategy, using customer insights to tell a cohesive story and create a seamless customer experience, overseeing visual site merchandising and content strategy, site functionality including navigation, hierarchy, search and browse, etc., new product on-boarding, and more, for our Rhyz entities (across beauty, wellness and lifestyle consumer brands, manufacturing, and potentially other verticals)Oversight of third-party agencies/vendors with the ability to recommend changes based on data-driven insightsMaximize online sales and margin through an optimized customer experience, driving leading conversion rates, AOV and repeat purchasesSite P&L ownershipRegular performance updates Responsible for leading the creation, development and execution of all SEM, SEO, affiliate, re-messaging and new acquisition and retention programs to drive awareness, engagement and conversionAnalytically driven approach to management and decision-making, with strong proficiency in web analytics, performance marketing analytics, customer segmentation and testing/optimization techniques. This includes: 1. Leading business analysis of customer and business metrics, maintaining and improving models for predicting lifetime value, repeat rates, and other measures of customer behavior. 2. Developing customer segmentation and propensity to purchase modeling to drive lifecycle marketing across customer touchpointsPartner with Marketing to optimize ROASPartner with Rhyz brand teams to deliver on their intended brand experienceQualifications:
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in ecommerce in either a site merchandising or commercial strategy role, preferably within a beauty or wellness companyProven leadership and with team management skills derived from having direct responsibility for building and managing a cohesive, high-performance team Expertise on E-Commerce industry best practices and keep abreast on latest disruptions/trends/new technologies in the digital landscapeMulti-platform experience: experience managing multiple e-commerce platforms or websites simultaneously, as this role will oversee various brands.Familiarity with common e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify+, etc.) and integration capabilities.Mobile commerce: expertise in mobile-first design and optimization for m-commerce.Personalization and CRM: experience with customer segmentation, personalization strategies, and CRM systemsCompliance and legal: familiarity with e-commerce regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and other relevant legal considerations.Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple tasks, priorities and stakeholders with ease, can move a roadmap forwardExperience and success with 1P and/or 3P Amazon fulfillment and integration.Proven experience and knowledge of Digital Marketing side of ecommerce, hands-on experience with paid, SEO, SEM, A/B testing, landing page optimization, conversion rate optimization, and web analytics (GA, etc).
