Job Title Director of Educational Outreach Agency Tarleton State University Department TRIO Programs Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Stephenville, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Director of Educational Outreach, under general direction, directs the TRIO Educational Talent Search Program by providing leadership and developing, supporting, and evaluating program services, and personnel to ensure alignment with federal, departmental and institutional missions. The position is in-office and located on the main Tarleton campus in Stephenville, Texas with work hours Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM or as work requirements indicate, which includes the ability to work after 5:00 p.m. and weekends occasionally. Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University. Responsibilities: -Initiates and implements program marketing, communications, and social media strategies. -Oversees budgetary design and fiscal operations including management of federal grant funds. Manages administration functions including personnel management and training. -Serves as workshop presenter or institutional representative at professional conferences, educational outreach meetings, educational institutions, and community activities and events. -Collaborates in development and management to support outreach and delivery of educational services and resources to target schools, community partners, and youth programs. -Interfaces with educational community through collaboration and delivery of educational services and resources to target school students, target school personnel, community leaders, community organizations, and institutional partners. -Initiates growth and development strategies by cultivating and expanding existing education/community relationships and development and implementation of internal and external evaluation and assessment processes. Responsible for internal and federal performance evaluations. -Collaborates with target schools, community partners, and higher education institutions in support of program recruitment and matriculation into a postsecondary educational placement. -Oversee a caseload of 100 participants providing college preparatory services Education and Experience: -Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Ten years of related experience. -Preference is given to applicants with knowledge of secondary and postsecondary education processes Compensation & Benefits Salary Commensurate with experience The target base annual salary range is commensurate and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
