We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team and drive product development.

Position Summary: The Director of Engineering will oversee the design, development, and product launch of our solar electrical balance of systems product portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in electrical engineering and a passion for renewable energy. The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers, foster collaboration, and ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to production.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting professional development and a culture of innovation.
• Oversee the design, testing, and validation of solar balance of systems products to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies that enhance product performance, reduce costs, and improve manufacturability.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of engineering projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in renewable energy and electrical systems.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes and product designs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within the renewable energy or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of solar electrical systems, balance of systems components, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
