Insight Global is seeking a director of engineering for an aerospace client based in IL. As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and managing our design operations in support of product development and innovation. constantly innovating to meet the challenge. This newly developed role will catapult our engineering and manufacturing capabilities to align with the speed and execution our customers expect from us.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement the engineering strategy for the client, including forecasting technological trends, incorporating best-in-class processes into operations, problem solving, and leading teams and related projects to implementation

* Own product development, from ideation to production, ensuring all product releases meet the client's quality standards

* Oversee and lead the design of the client's equipment and technology, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

* Develop and implement strategies to improve design processes, with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.

* Analyze and interpret performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights that drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance.

* Develop and Integrate Quality Management processes and structure within the Engineering Department

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and understand customer needs, leveraging insights from customer feedback, market trends, and data analysis to anticipate challenges and deliver tailored solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, incorporating innovative technologies and methodologies where appropriate.

* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and professional growth within the design and manufacturing teams.

* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
