Job Title: Director of Engineering, Compliance, and Quality
Job Description

As a member of the Commercial Brass Leadership team, the Director of Engineering, Compliance, and Quality is a highly strategic and encompassing role that provides leadership, vision, and strategies for all engineering, compliance, and quality activities. This position will provide organizational leadership for the engineering, compliance, and quality teams while overseeing the development and implementation of robust processes and strategies to drive world-class capabilities. The role is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the group.

ResponsibilitiesProvide technical direction and organizational leadership for all engineering activities by setting the overall vision, strategies, and driving their implementation.Lead, staff, and develop high-performance engineering teams that effectively execute engineering activities to help grow, defend, and create business using cross-functional engagement to achieve long-term goals.Develop competitive differentiation by ensuring the team has best-in-class technical talent to innovate, help win business, and solve challenging problems.Set vision and strategy on technological opportunities, product, and technology roadmaps. Provide execution oversight for important research, development, test, and evaluation efforts.Drive the development, implementation, management, and maintenance of all aspects of internal and external quality and regulatory compliance systems in alignment with standards.Drive quality standards throughout the organization and serve as the advocate and voice of quality throughout the business.Support external customer design and system requirements through the Application Engineering team.Ensure renewal of product certifications, registrations, and listings; track and report on related costs.Collaborate with engineering to transform new or modified requirements affecting product certification into actionable items to ensure/maintain product compliance.Lead announced and unannounced certification inspections from third-party agencies and maintain required lab certifications.Set clear expectations with the teams around cradle-to-grave responsibility for product portfolio success. Drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.Build high-performing teams with continuous coaching, mentoring, teaching, and talent development. MBA is ideal.10 to 15 years of experience in leading high-performance teamsDemonstrated experience in setting technology vision and strategy along with quality and complianceExpertise in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the fieldCustomer focus with the ability to deal with requests of sales, service, and outside customersExtremely strong leadership skills including presentation, project management, problem-solving, multi-tasking, influencing, and verbal/written communication skillsExperience analyzing data using spreadsheet applications, Microsoft Access, and/or MinitabLeveraging data to drive fact-based decision-making and process improvementWork Environment

This position will reside in either Concord, NC, or Sanford, NC, and requires up to 25% travel. It is an onsite role, 5 days a week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $200000.00
