The CTO supports all of Sensata's businesses and their wide array of products & technologies. This is done through a variety of Centers of Excellence (CoE), Service Departments and Laboratories that continue to learn, innovate, develop & deliver understanding, knowledge & influence of solutions at product, process and business system levels for engineering. As Sensata continues to develop its product technology and business process, the influence of the CoEs is essential in shaping the tools we use, the way we use them and the community of users in getting results. This position could be located in Attleboro MA USA, Sofia Bulgaria or Antrim Northern Ireland.

This role will include oversight of the Simulation CoE and other relevant Centers. Leadership and connection across Sensata with occasional global travel will be required. Your skill and competency will be considered as part of a holistic evaluation of the CTOs Centres of Excellence. General Responsibilities
•    Directs leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of the framework for various systems, products and technical platforms
•    Leads both external and internal stakeholder requirements for new products / features / technology developments
•    Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses 
•    Directs system specifications and formalized representations of solutions (for example, flow charts, models) to develop systems that meet customer needs
•    Systems Architecture development with roadmaps to increase feature sets, reduce cost, pursue integration opportunities and increase quality
•    Directs internal Sensata sub system design teams to refine implementation of products / features / technologies & specifications to ensure they meet stakeholder’s needs
•    Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Oversees team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met

Oversees authorized changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project

Directs the most complex or critical engineering projects; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; identifies and resolve operational problems and minimize delays

Oversees ongoing relationships with external contractors so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service

Travel international and domestic up to 25%.

Additional Skills/ Experience

Simulation experience preferred

Modeling/ Model based engineering experience preferred.
