The McCombs School of Business Director of Enrollment Marketing will lead and optimize the marketing and pipeline strategy for a variety of graduate programs to help Texas McCombs attract prospective graduate students. As a member of the Chief Marketing and Communications (CMCO) team, the Director of Enrollment Marketing is responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and execute integrated demand generation campaigns, track and analyze pipeline and enrollment data, and build a high-performing marketing team. They serve as a strategic partner to the Masters of Science Programs Office (MSPO) and the Masters of Professional Accounting (MPA) program leadership to achieve enrollment goals and ensure a consistent brand experience for applicants across the School’s portfolio of specialized master's programs. This role supervises the enrollment marketing and marketing operations team and reports to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
ResponsibilitiesMSPO & MPA Application Pipeline Strategy & Oversight
In consultation with the Director of MSPO/ MPA Admissions and program office leadership, recommend appropriate activities, goals, and benchmarks to achieve enrollment goals. Lead the creation and execution of the demand generation strategy for one-year master’s programs in pursuit of qualified applications to meet the School’s MSPO/MPA program enrollment goals. This includes:
Advising MSPO and MPA marketers on the development, execution, and active maintenance of lead nurturing programs.Working with MSPO/MPA marketers to identify new inbound and outbound marketing activities that deliver a significant number of qualified leads while monitoring Return on Investment (ROI) and optimizing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).Developing and executing multi-step, integrated demand generation campaigns. Aggregating and analyzing data to help define key personas for nurture programs. Driving strategy for paid ad, paid search, and retargeting activities.School Collaboration
Partner with the McCombs Technology Solutions group to address any Marketo campaign data issues, new requests or updates to existing configuration for MS graduate programs.Serve as the subject matter expert in Salesforce and Marketo data governance meetings and provide the point of view (POV) for graduate program marketing.As the School’s primary Marketo administrator, regularly assess Marketo and Salesforce lifecycle for process improvements to ensure full optimization of technology. In partnership with McCombs Technology Solutions, strategize and implement changes in alignment with School’s strategic priorities.People and Resource Management
Lead, supervise, and establish performance goals for a staff of marketing operations and marketing team members.In partnership with program office leadership, allocate marketing budgets across the specialized masters’ portfolio.Manage an external media agency's performance and scope of activities for the School of Business. Develop and evaluate RFPs and contracts for advertising agency support as needed.Marketing Program Compliance & Best Practices
Maintain knowledge of digital marketing best practices and digital marketing compliance best practices (FERPA, GDPR, etc.).Serve as a resource on Marketo and marketing automation for McCombs departments utilizing Marketo for lead generation, including the BBA Program Office, MBA Program Office, Executive Education and research centers and institutes.Optimize lead generation & lead nurturing processes through email campaigns, content creation and content marketing, paid media, SMS (text) and social media channels using Marketo.Required QualificationsAn in-depth understanding of marketing automation strategies and the ability to problem-solve and work well with others is a critical componentDemonstrated success prioritizing and executing multiple projects within established time frames/budgetsExperience working directly with business partners to understand objectives and articulate the impact of digital media strategies, campaigns and toolsExperience with presenting strategy and effective communication of recommendations and data stories.Experience with event management and event promotionExperience working within all marketing channels with an emphasis on digital and email marketingExpertise in Microsoft Power Point, Excel and other Office softwareExperience working in a website content management systemExperience working in MarketoExperience working in Salesforce or a similarly-complex enterprise-level CRMExperience working in a project management software (Asana, Air Table, Monday, etc.)Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related fields10+ years of marketing program development experienceRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
