Your work environment at EXP 

In this role you will be a part of the infrastructure group in the Northeast market. We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm of approximately 3,500 professionals across North America with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects across North America.  We are currently looking to grow and enhance our transit, rail control systems, structural, roadway, and tunneling practices and are seeking highly motivated and dynamic engineers.

 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Provide environmental planning coordination for assessments, regulatory applications, permitting, expediting, and project planning  Transportation policy studies including research and analysis Business case assessments for transportation projects Transportation master plan studies Transit service operations and planning practices, as well as transit priority assessments Active transportation planning and design projects Input to traffic impact studies Transportation study peer reviews Site visits and field investigations for transportation studies Knowledge of Hazmat abatement Public transit network analysis and planning Preparing documentation related to projects, proposals and expressions of interest. Communicating and working with other project team members, including mentoring junior-level team members Liaising with and assisting other departments and offices in the provision of transportation planning services to clients Completing work within the prescribed time and budget while maintaining high quality Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite that includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

What your experience looks like

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 of experience in environmental services, with specific experience in MTA or related transportation projects. 5+ years of relevant environmental regulatory project experience Licensed PE in the State of New York Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards related to transportation projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in using environmental monitoring and data analysis tools. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including government officials, contractors, and the general public. Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar certification is desirable. Contribution to supporting business development activities, including inputs to and/or leading proposals

 

The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
