**Job Description**
Aramark is currently seeking a Director of Event Sales to support the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL! The Director of Event Sales is responsible for managing the sales department, training and developing Sales Managers, and overseeing catering sales and operations to implement special events in line with client expectations.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year, with potential additional flexibility, based on individual qualifications, education, and experience. This Salaried Full-Time position additionally includes an annual sales commission payment on upgrades and offers a wide array of comprehensive benefit programs and services. **Job Responsibilities**
+ Oversee sales department, recruit, schedule, train, and develop team to ensure standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation and service
+ Develop proposals and contracts, maximize revenue through upselling and offering enhancements to exceed client expectations
+ Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport, providing creative solutions to clients' needs
+ Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
+ Collaborate with culinary and operations departments on menu development, event detailing, and event execution
+ Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables, deliver sales, food, and labor targets and maintaining department budgets
+ Ensure compliance with all food, occupational and environmental safety policies

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor?s degree preferred or at least 10 years of related experience required
+ Previous experience in a manager or senior leadership level role in special events, hospitality, or catering required
+ Previous experience in special events sales, menu development, and operations required
+ Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships required
+ Must have excellent interpersonal communication, client relations, and ideally sales skills
+ Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team dynamic
+ Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
+ Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods of time
+ Must have availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hours
