Job Description: 

The purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Facilities Management in accordance with the current applicable Federal, State and Local standards, guidelines and regulations and our established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Supervision of environmental services, security and maintenance department (approximately 35 employees). Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the 3 departments. Supervise electrical, plumbing, HVAC and consults with all management staff to ensure the painting, rework, or repairing and cleaning of buildings and equipment is accomplished. Supervises and coordinates activities of independent contractors used for landscaping, pool services, pest control, trash removal and security monitoring. Oversees security issues including monitoring the emergency call system, plans and directs security procedures of the buildings and of the campus. Works as a member of Risk Management committee to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. Monitors telephone PBX and voice mail system performance to assure dependable and uninterrupted operation of telephone communications. Directs and coordinates emergency and radio communications. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Operations and/or Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university; or at least 4 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be knowledgeable in boilers, compressors, generators and various other mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Ability to read and interpret blue-prints. Knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
