This position requires planning, coordinating and monitoring all Facilities Management operations, contractual and fiscal activities for the agency in the facilities, housing program units, grounds, and vehicle fleet and system equipment.  Maintaining safety, habitability and compliance with established licensing and industry standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develops, implements and monitors preventative and routine maintance, assessing repair to ensure cost effectiveness.  Establishing criteria for repair versus replacementDevelops, implements and maintains department repair and capital improvement budgets; ensures compliance with budgetary constraints; forecasts and plan facility improvement in conjunction with CEO and CFOFormulates, reviews and revises policies and procedures to ensure best practice including an annual update of a comprehensive safety plan in accordance with licensing entities.Coordinates and maintains compliance to accreditation standards, documentation and records as required by regulatory agencies.Fiscal monitoring and analysis of programmatic and department budgets with attention to overall agency financials. Maximizing utilization of available funding in Housing ProgramsCoordinates, supervises and plans the maintenance of all Broward House Facilities, including buildings, grounds and all equipmentPrepares reports in accordance with regulatory agency standards including outcome measuresTrack, report and analyze statistical data regarding program performanceAddress client grievances and agency incident with written responses including licensing and funding documentation, as appropriateMaintains appropriate staffing patterns with qualified personnel through hiring, supervision and training.Monitors and supports competencies through accepted discipline supervision standards.Ongoing evaluation of employee performance and training needsOther duties as assigned.

Skills/ Requirements

Critical review of policies and proceduresKnowledge and experience with state and local safety, fire, construction and public access regulation.Understanding of blueprints and building codes; experience developing cost estimate and budgets Knowledge management and organizational principles and practicesAbility to communicate effectively utilizing interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationship with other department staff, clients, vendors, funding and licensing entities. Ability to handle confidential information appropriatelyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, collaborating agencies and the publicAbility to demonstrate and model culturally competent behaviorModerate to advanced computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Databases, Scheduling ProgramsBasic math skills required: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to work independently with minimal directionThe ability to work under pressure and to assess changing priorities and competing deadlines is essential. Flexibility and ability to cope with several tasks simultaneously Must be physically and mentally fit to respond to emergency situations

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

High School Degree or related field, preferred.(3) years of supervisory, capital planning and program management experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.HVAC Certification preferredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONValid Florida Driver’s License and ongoing proof of insuranceAHCA Level II background screening

Important Notes:

Must pass all drug and background screening, including a level 2 federal background and motor vehicle screening.

 

Hours:  Full-time 40/hrs. including rotating holidays.
