We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Facilities and Planning to join our team in Poway, CA.
This position is responsible for directing the facilities functions including overseeing activities related to the design, planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of buildings, machinery, and equipment to meet organizational operating objectives.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**
+ Directs the operation and maintenance of assigned facilities; directs and allocates facilities resources to achieve the organizations operating objectives.
+ Directs the development and implementation of annual and long- term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for facilities activities.
+ Directs and oversees the design, planning, maintenance, construction, and modification of facilities and maintenance, upgrading, and/or modification of equipment and machinery.
+ Identifies issues and provides leadership in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or modifying processes.
+ Acts as the primary contact for facilities activities and leads progress planning and review sessions to discuss costs, schedule, and performance.
+ Directs the planning, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of required management and professional talent.
+ Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Other duties as assigned or required.
+ Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.

**Job Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and fifteen or more years of progressive professional experience in facilities management with at least nine of those years in a management role. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Must have experience working in a multi-site environment.
+ Must have a detailed and thorough understanding of multi-site facility operations including building and site design, construction, operations, and maintenance as well as operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
+ Requires knowledge of local building codes, standards and regulation as they apply to design, construction, operations, and maintenance of building and building sites.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, planning, and interpersonal skills are required as well as the ability to effectively interface with senior level internal and external personnel.
+ Customer focused, must be able to look at long-term trends and emerging requirements, evaluate competing interests, and manage and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
+ U.S. Citizenship is required.
