Director of Facilities - Heartwood Lodge
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Heartwood Lodge is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Facilities. As the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental services within our facility. This includes managing the maintenance and cleanliness of our physical environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and implementing and monitoring effective waste management practices. Responsibilities: + Develop and implement environmental service policies and procedures + Manage and supervise a team of environmental service staff + Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner + Monitor and maintain compliance with all environmental and health regulations + Develop and manage the department budget + Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to environmental services. + Contracting with service providers for (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Suppression systems) + Maintain Safety programs: Life safety compliance, Drills and Simulations, Emergency preparedness Requirements: + High school diploma or its equivalent. Applicable trade school education or associates degree preferred. + Must have a minimum four years demonstrated experience as a healthcare mechanic and successful completion of a MECH Senior Certified Mechanic Test. + Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. + Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations. Must be trained in the operation of laundry equipment, practices, and procedures. Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc. + Must possess the ability to plan and carry out programs in repair, new construction, and equipment installation. + Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred + Supervisory experience preferred. **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
