Overview DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando Downtown is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of our Finance/Accounting Department. This executive-level position is critical in ensuring the hotel's financial performance and operational efficiency. The Director of Finance will act as a mentor to the finance team and will be deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the hotel and the department. Responsibilities: Cash Flow Management: Effectively manage and communicate cash flow-related issues to management and ownership. Forecasting and Budgeting: Coordinate the completion of all forecasts and budgets with the full and active participation of the Executive Team and department managers. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and operations to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotel's financial objectives. Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis. Internal Financial Controls: Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, master keys, payroll, and records. Financial Reporting: Direct and/or prepare all financial reports in accordance with the company’s requirements, meeting various due dates and deadlines. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the hotel's compliance with all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience as an Assistant Director of Finance or a Director of Finance in the hospitality industry. Bachelor's or Graduate degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. In the absence of a college degree, at least 10 years experience in a similar role. Ability to assimilate complex information and data from disparate sources, and consider, adjust, or modify to meet specific needs. Effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues. Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic arithmetic functions. Strong prioritization skills to meet due dates and deadlines.
