We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Finance to join our team at Australia’s largest hotel.

Located adjacent to Darling Harbour in Sydney's Central Business District (CBD), Hyatt Regency Sydney is a haven of relaxation for the business or leisure traveller. As Sydney's largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. The hotel offers more than 3,700 sq m of sleek meeting and event space in the heart of the city featuring two spacious ballrooms with views of Darling Harbour and 22 additional meeting rooms.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded senior finance professional to complement our Leadership Team. Responsible for the Finance, IT and Purchasing departments, this is a hands on leadership role, actively involved in business decision making, while ensuring compliance and business plan execution.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensures all accounting practices comply with all Company and Government regulations

• Compiles, updates and maintains all budgets and forecasts

• Administer and control all cash management for the Hotel

• Administration of all insurance matters in conjunction with local brokers

• Liaise with internal and external auditors

• Work closely with Departments to ensure payroll management and efficiencies

• Maintain a Capex register

• Proactively initiates communication with the Owning Company

• Grow, develop and support our internal talent in all departments

To be successful in this role:

• Relevant CA/CPA or degree equivalent

• 5 years of experience in a similar role in a large Hotel

• Proven effective communication skills while having a sharp eye for detail and accuracy

• Proven success leading and developing teams

• Full Australian working rights – sponsorship is not available for this role
