Nestled in the scenic Hudson Valley, Crotonville provides a tranquil yet fully equipped environment for corporate retreats and leadership programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead financial strategy, support operational goals, and contribute to the success of a renowned conference center dedicated to fostering professional growth and collaboration. This Executive Level position will oversee all aspects of the Finance/Accounting Department. The Director of Finance will report to the General Manager. Will act as a mentor and be very involved with the day-to-day operations of the hotel and the department. Responsibilities Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues, as required to management and ownership. Coordinate the completion of all forecasts and budgets as required, with the full and active participation of Executive Team and department managers. Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels’ financial objectives. Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis. Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, master keys, payroll, and records. Direct and/or prepare all financial reports in accordance with the company’s requirements meeting various due dates and deadlines. Ensure hotels’ compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes. Qualifications The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of related work experience in a similar role. Previous supervisory and management experience in the hospitality industry preferred. Bachelors or Graduate degree with a Business Administration, Accounting or Finance concentration. Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues. Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions. Must be able to prioritize to meet due dates and deadlines Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $100,000.00/Yr. - $120,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
