Overview Are you an experienced and dynamic finance professional looking for a new challenge? Join our team at the Rand Tower Hotel in downtown Minneapolis as the Director of Finance and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our establishment. As the Director of Finance, you will lead and oversee all aspects of our Finance/Accounting Department while actively contributing to the daily operations of our hotel. Responsibilities: As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for: Effectively managing and communicating cash flow-related issues to management and ownership. Coordinating the completion of forecasts and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Team and department managers. Analyzing financial data and operations to provide strategic advice to management for achieving the hotel's financial objectives. Ensuring timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Establishing and auditing internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, master keys, payroll, and records. Directing the preparation of financial reports according to company requirements and deadlines. Ensuring the hotel's compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in a similar role. Previous supervisory and management experience in the hospitality industry preferred. Bachelor's or Graduate degree with a Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance concentration. Ability to assimilate complex information and data from various sources to address specific needs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and issue clarification. Proficiency in working with financial information, data analysis, and basic arithmetic functions. Strong prioritization skills to meet deadlines and due dates.
