Job Description
Direct the department’s domestic and international GL operations, consolidations, financial statement preparation, internal controls and reviews, financial standards compliance, and audits.
ResponsibilitiesOversee the monthly closing process and corporate consolidation reporting.Oversee international and domestic customer invoicing procedures and ensure accurate and timely recording of revenues.Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll (ADP), and T&E expense processing.Coordinate and manage external statutory audits and tax compliance.Produce accurate and timely internal financial statements and support external financial statement reporting requirements as needed.Oversee all aspects of the company’s payroll functions.Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.Provide strong leadership to the finance and accounting staff, including training and development of the team.Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.Manage and oversee cash flow, ensuring the company's financial stability.Review and edit contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, as well as to mitigate potential risks.Communicate effectively with the parent company in Japan, ensuring alignment and compliance with corporate strategies and reporting requirements.Manage property tax filings and other tax obligations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.Maintain and monitor standard costing and gross profit analysis.Manage and monitor bank accounts and transactions.Essential SkillsGeneral ledgerConsolidationsFinancial statement preparationInternal controlAuditAccounts payableAccounts receivablePayrollTax complianceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBS Degree in Accounting; CPA certification (preferred)7+ years of experience in accounting managementExperience with Expandable ERP system (highly preferred)Big 4 Accounting firm experienceExperience in medical device manufacturing (a strong plus)High energy level with a hands-on approach and ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced dynamic environmentAdvanced knowledge of accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S.Experience working with an international parent company, including establishing controls and managing financial reportingUtilize financial applications to enhance and automate processes, reporting, analysis, and controlsStrong skills with Excel, including pivot tables and other relevant software programsExperience directly managing an accounting teamPreferred experience in inventory accounting and cost accountingKnowledge of Database Software, Manufacturing Software, Payroll Systems, Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Contract Management Systems, Inventory Software, Order Processing Systems, Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), Presentation Software (PowerPoint). Power BI experience preferred.Work Environment
Work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment that leverages various financial and accounting software systems such as Expandable ERP, ADP for payroll, and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint. The role involves regular communication with international stakeholders and maintaining compliance with both domestic and international financial regulations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72.12 - $72.12
