Director Of Finance

Description

The Director of Finance is a strategic, hands-on manager who leads and develops an internal team to support the financial well-being and growth of the organization. Responsibilities include complex data analysis and reporting, forecast modeling, budgeting, risk management, development of financial policies and strategy, disbursement of funds, and oversight of all financial and procurement activities.

Responsibilities

Lead all financial planning and analysis activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.Prepare, analyze, and report on financial performance.Build and manage forecasts and comprehensive budgets.Implement and oversee internal accounting and purchasing controls.Monitor ongoing expenditure and cash flow.Oversee corporate insurance policies and risk management, 401k plan, and investment accounts.Evaluate and advise on external funding strategies to meet growing business needs. Secure and maintain good relationships with external funding resources.Develop strategies to increase profitability and return on investment.Oversee accounting tasks, including payables, receivables, payroll, taxes, and compliance.Present financial reports to executives, management team, and other stakeholders.Collaborate with management team to create budgets and track key performance indicators.Set and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.Adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other financial and insurance industry regulations.Professionally manage and train a team of salaried and hourly direct reports.Work with executive leadership to set financial strategy and fiscal goals for the organization. Coordinate activities with external accounting firm to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns, and other critical financial documents.Create, implement, and evaluate improvements to the organization’s financial processes, programs, and supporting information systems.Establish and manage procurement goals related to operational and financial objectives of the organization.Implement improved sourcing processes to reduce critical shortages and spending.Ensure operational outbound packaging and shipping quality standards are in place.Ensure inventory levels are appropriate and accurate through use of cycle counting and physical inventory adjustment process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related major is required. Master’s degree in business administration, finance or accounting preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials preferred.At least ten years’ experience in corporate financial management or accounting requiredAt least five years of management experience preferred

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00
