Director of Finance
Description We are in the market for a Director of Finance to join our team in San Diego, California. The successful candidate will be tasked with the management of financial operations, budget preparation, vendor management, and the overall financial leadership of our organization. Responsibilities: • Oversee all financial operations including banking, payroll, and contract management. • Work closely with the Executive Director to ensure effective financial management and controls. • Develop and manage annual and project-specific budgets while implementing systems to monitor expenditure. • Act as the primary contact and manage relationships with the organization's contracted accounting and IT support firms. • Lead and support the finance, investment, and audit committees of the Board of Directors. • Oversee the organization's physical plant management including security measures and emergency planning. • Handle the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of organizational equipment and supplies. • Work alongside the Executive Director and department heads to manage the human resources function, including staff onboarding and offboarding. • Lead the organization's safety, security, and emergency preparedness efforts. • Contribute to the strategic planning of the organization, focusing on operational excellence and mission growth. • Supervise the Operations Associate in their support of the Finance and Administration Department. • Take on additional tasks as identified and assigned by the Executive Director. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance-related role • Proficient in 3M software • Knowledgeable in using Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Familiar with CRM systems • Capable of utilizing Crystal Reports • Demonstrated ability in handling Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proven skills in Auditing • Familiarity with Budget Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
