Organizational Requirements

The ability to work effectively as a team member with staff and volunteers is essential.
Ability to maintain confidential information, high ethical standards.
Able to adapt to and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with vendors, staff, board members, families, and anyone associated with Habitat for Humanity.

Job Requirements
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
Ability to proactively determine priorities and meet deadlines
Detail oriented and organized

Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in bookkeeping or accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Required
Must be a CPA
Nonprofit experience preferred

Major Areas of Responsibility
The following is a summary, but is not limited, to the essential functions of this job. Other duties and education may be required and performed, not mentioned below and specific activities may change from time to time.
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Process accounts receivable and payable in an accurate and timely manner
Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
Complete tax and other reporting forms as required
Maintain historical records by filing documents
Work with staff to reconcile data in other specialized software to the general and subsidiary ledgers
Integrate ProCore, a new construction billing software
Process payroll and prepare payroll reports
Prepare Habitat for Humanity International reports and payments
Maintain audit trail at all times
Manage NCHFA payments and reports
Prepare annual budget
Inventory Management
Create timely board of directors reports
Other duties and tasks assigned
