JOB PURPOSE:
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will lead the FP&A team and drive the financial strategy, planning, and analysis activities of DRB. This critical role provides senior management with financial insights and projections for strategic decision-making. The Director will oversee the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring budgeted investments are thoroughly vetted with sound financial analysis. They will implement processes, tools, and controls to align investments with strategic goals and meet financial performance targets. Additionally, the Director will work to maintain financial results in line with budgets and forecasts, deploying countermeasures as needed to achieve targeted financial outcomes.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

\n\nLead the development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.\nProvide insights, recommendations to senior management, and decisions based on financial analysis and projections.\nCollaborate with business unit leaders to develop long-term financial strategies and objectives.\n\n

Budgeting and Forecasting:

\n\nOversee the annual budgeting process, including the development of detailed financial plans.\nManage the quarterly forecasting process to ensure accurate and timely financial projections.\nAnalyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.\n\n

Financial Reporting:

\n\nPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.\nEnsure compliance with SEC regulations and other financial reporting requirements for publicly traded companies.\nCoordinate with external auditors during financial audits.\n\n

Performance Management:

\n\nDevelop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the company’s financial performance.\nImplement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.\nConduct financial performance reviews and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.\n\n

Team Leadership:

\n\nLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.\nFoster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.\nProvide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.\n\n

Business Partnership:

\n\nAct as a strategic partner to business units, providing financial guidance and support.\nCollaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.\nSupport M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.\n\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA and /or CPA preferred\nMinimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience required, with 3 years leading a team preferred\nAdvanced experience in business modeling, management reporting, and operational metrics\nHands-on experience with building effective financial reporting and analysis tools and databases\nEffective leader with strong interpersonal, leadership and management skills with a strong team orientation\nAbility to build trust and credibility with senior business partners\nWell-developed analytical and problem-solving skills\n\n

Skill Sets:

\n\nStrategic thinker with a strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to create and generate reports, track metrics, and achieve compelling storytelling for internal and external customers\nAbility to champion change and continuous improvement\nHigh ethical standards and integrity\nProficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques\nIn-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and SEC regulations\nExperience with financial planning software and ERP systems (Acumatica)\nStrong emotional intelligence, leadership, and team coaching skills\nHighly Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)\n\n
