Director of Financial Reporting
Description Our client, a commercial and industrial real estate company is in the search for a Director of Financial Reporting to join their team in Eastern Montgomery County Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing the corporate consolidation process, preparing GAAP financial statements, and managing the relationship with external auditors. The Director of Financial Reporting will also supervise the fixed asset team, assist with partner reporting, and facilitate the implementation of new or updated accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Oversee and review corporate consolidation processes on a regular basis • Prepare and review GAAP financial statements periodically • Manage relationships with external auditors, including audit coordination, inquiries and requests, and preparation of schedules • Supervise and mentor the fixed asset team, including overseeing capital projects and reserves processes • Support and assist in the preparation of various aspects of partner reporting, including performance metrics and supplemental analysis • Facilitate the implementation of new or updated accounting standards • Contribute to the preparation of annual budget reports and documentation, as well as quarterly budget-to-actual analysis • Handle ad hoc reporting and special projects as required by the team Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial reporting role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. • Proficient in all areas of accounting functions. • Demonstrable experience in auditing, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. • Extensive knowledge in managing balance sheet accounts. • Proven experience in overseeing budget processes, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. • Expertise in financial reporting, capable of providing insightful and timely reports to stakeholders. • Ability to analyze variance, identifying and explaining discrepancies in financial data. • Proficiency in using Yardi, a leading real estate management software. • Solid understanding and experience in the commercial real estate sector.
