The Four Seasons Los Angeles is looking for a Director of Food & Beverage. As a member of the Executive team, the Director of Food & Beverage works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.
What we expect:
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel.
The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships.
The ability to work closely with the General Manager and Planning Committee to design an effective menus, wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Supervise, train and motivate Department employees to thoroughly understand all of their duties and responsibilities.
Respond according to the crisis management plan to any hotel and residencies emergency or safety situation.
Comply with Four Seasons standards for Food and Beverage, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee.
Develop excellent relationships with guests, regulars and group contacts in order to provide a quality and personalized service to the guests.
Strategic planning and execution of short-and long-range capital expenditures to enhance guest and employee experience.

Ideal candidate will have:
Five to seven years previous experience in multiple food & beverage department head positions
Must have a minimum of two years’ experience as a bartender in an upscale establishment.
Exemplary intuitive listening skills along with exceptional oral and written communication
Demonstrated ability to efficiently multitask, handle a variety of activities in a fast-paced environment, and achieve incremental results in the short term.
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
College education or equivalent experience
Experience by position is from three to five years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to react and adjust to changing business environments and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.
The ability to stay organized and calm under pressure.
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
