This role provides specialized knowledge and leadership, leading the creation and delivery of operational processes, efficiencies, information, and training. Responsibilities include managing projects end-to-end, ensuring the activation and execution of key initiatives, evaluating property-brand alignment, and contributing to action plans. The Director collaborates with F&B marketing, Communications, Culinary, and Meetings + Events teams to drive F&B revenues, oversees operations troubleshooting, technical training, quality assurance, and supports pre-openings and conversions. Additionally, the role involves developing F&B standards and programming across all brands, collaborating on F&B facility design and development, including layout and equipment reviews, leading F&B sustainability efforts, and developing region-specific programs to achieve Marriott’s sustainability goals. The Director also partners with procurement to establish standards and product specifications. **CANDIDATE PROFILE** Experience and Education + 5+ years of recent experience in F&B/Restaurant + Bar Management, including as Director of Food & Beverage + 10+ years of progressively responsible work experience in Food & Beverage including experience as a department leader managing a culturally diverse workforce, demonstrating progressive career growth + Demonstrate an understanding of multi brand standards + Proven expertise in hands-on openings of hotels preferred + Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Culinary, Sales, Marketing or other related areas preferred, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Skills and Knowledge + In-depth knowledge of the F&B/Restaurant + Bar Management discipline, processes, and procedures + Comprehensive financial management skills, ability to analyze P&L, budgeting, Key Responsibilities: + Serve as the subject matter expert for the F&B/Restaurant + Bar discipline within the continent, providing direction on relevant projects, initiatives, standards, and platforms at both the company and hotel levels. + Provide strategic leadership to hotels, inspiring F&B/Restaurant + Bar leaders through creativity and documentation of case studies and best practices. + Develop and execute strategies to drive financial results, guest satisfaction, human capital index, and market share, ensuring alignment with CALA regions and corporate F&B/Restaurant + Bar programs. + Champion the discipline for all brands, ensuring strategies improve customer experience, financial performance, and work environment. + Partner with Area teams to drive Balanced Scorecard Results, improving F&B/Restaurant + Bar operations, guest experiences, financial performance, and associate satisfaction. + Act as a liaison and expert resource for owners and franchisees, monitoring overall performance and providing action planning as needed to drive top-line revenues and profitability. + Liaise with the Global Operations team to ensure strategic alignment on high-priority initiatives, adapting and applying global and brand initiatives with a continent lens. + Develop and deploy products and services for all brands to build customer loyalty and drive guest satisfaction. + Develop and facilitate training workshops and innovative presentations for F&B/Restaurant + Bar leaders, addressing discipline needs and enhancing event execution. + Provide action planning and training to F&B/Restaurant + Bar operations as needed, delivering training by brand to meet the requirements of all brands. + Provide expertise and support on new build and renovation F&B/Restaurant + Bar concept development and designs, reviewing spaces, facilities, and drawings throughout development phases. + Partner with F&B Design and Development and Global Design teams to bring new build, renovation, and conversion projects to life. + Support hotels through pre-opening and opening processes, providing F&B/Restaurant + Bar expertise and training for specialists, and coordinating task forces as needed. + Conduct forward-thinking research on discipline trends and competition, surfacing big ideas to remain competitive in products and services. + Lead the F&B/Restaurant + Bar Council, engaging with leaders continuously throughout CALA with constructive dialogue. + Develop strategic professional relationships with F&B/Restaurant + Bar product and service vendors, maintaining strong working relationships with all CLS divisions. + Maintain and communicate updated food & beverage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency in messages that support Marriott International’s strategies. + Ensure continual development of diverse, high-caliber talent, acting as an ambassador for new candidates and partnering with HR to recruit and develop talent, driving associate The salary range for this position is $114,200 to $150,700 annually.
