Come build your career with us! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Food and Nutrition Services Director is responsible for the leadership of all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and strategic goals. The Food and Nutrition Services Director ensures alignment of all systems to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, while focusing on people, services, and financial stewardship. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, board members, and employee. The Food and Nutrition Services Director is a member of the Leadership Team and plays an active role in the execution of the annual hospital business plan. The Director is a full-time employee who has been granted the authority and delegated responsibility by the hospital’s governing body and medical staff for the operation of the dietary services. This authority and delegated responsibility includes, the daily management of the service, implementing training programs for dietary staff, and assuring that established policies and procedures are maintained that address at least the following: + Safety practices for food handling + Emergency food supplies + Orientation, work assignments, supervision of work and personnel performance + Menu planning, purchasing of foods and supplies, and retention of essential records (e.g., cost, menus, personnel, training records, QAPI reports, etc) + Service QAPI The Food and Nutrition Services Director must demonstrate through education, experience and/or specialized training, the qualifications necessary to manage the service, appropriate to the scope and complexity of the food service operations. Additionally, the director is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the department including but not limited to, payroll, hiring, counseling, mentoring/coaching, and scheduling, orientation, competency validation of new and existing staff, and annual evaluations. **What qualifications you will need:** **Education/Experience:** + Bachelor’s Degree + Texas Licensed Dietitian + National Registered Dietitian ADA + Knowledge of state, federal, JCAHO regulations + 3-5 years of supervisory experience + Previous department hospital Director or Manager with at least 3-5 years’ culinary experience Medical City Las Colinas, built in 1997, is a 100+ bed full service, acute-care facility.
