Job Description
Develop and implement product safety, quality, and sanitation programs that meet company and regulatory standards. Direct plant operation teams on proper sanitation methods, ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company standards as stated in the Quality Manual, Laboratory Manual, and Company Policy and Programs. Drive continuous improvement efforts in product quality, performance, and process optimization. Provide leadership in coaching, education, and training of plant employees on food safety and sanitation programs. Actively participate in HACCP/FSP teams, providing direction and support.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement product safety, quality, and sanitation programs.Direct plant operation teams on proper sanitation methods.Ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company standards.Inspect and audit product, process, and systems.Drive continuous improvement efforts in product quality, performance, and process optimization.Provide leadership in coaching, education, and training of plant employees.Participate actively in HACCP/FSP teams, providing direction and support.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or a science-based area of study with a focus on microbiology.Minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience in Quality, Food Safety, and Sanitation.Working knowledge of sanitation systems, techniques, and procedures.Sensory experience.Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) processes.Food safety and sanitation expertise.Previous experience as a lead auditor.HACCP certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of FSMA rules and regulations including Preventive Controls for Human Food, Sanitary Transportation Rule, Food Defense, Food Fraud, and Foreign Supplier Verification Programs.Work Environment
This role requires a mix of on-site and remote work, with three days on-site and two days remote per week. The candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time to other plants. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
