PURPOSE OF POSITON
The Director of Food Service is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire food service operation within our convenience stores, including our Shelby Bakery. This leadership role focuses on driving sales growth, achieving profit and loss goals, and ensuring cost control objectives are met. The Director of Food Service will work closely with field teams to ensure proper training of food managers and adherence to company standards across all food service areas.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.Oversee Shelby Bakery productions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with business goals.Drives Food Service sales through all means available including new store openings, direct mail programs, and regional advertising, etc.Gross Margin planning and budgetingMonitor and manage profit and loss performance, ensuring financial targets are met.Develop and direct this year / last year sales growth and this year / last year gross profit.Ensures that all federal, state and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met.Research and develop strategies and plans which identify Food Service opportunities and new project development.Establish and implement short-and long range goals.Work with and supervise Assistant Food Service Director.Promote positive relations with vendors and distributors.Monitor and assess competition to ensure that Food Service retain an experiential advantage over the competition.Works with Store Managers, District Managers to set Food Service Department budgets and merchandise department to maximize sales.Trains and develops Food Service Managers, and Store Managers.Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS / ABILITY TO:
Must be an excellent team player with the ability to manage and build relationships across departments.Must be highly motivated.Supervise others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions. Develop and/or implement new and current policies/procedures/standards and/or rules/regulations.Ability to travel to multiple store locations regularly.REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate Degree in Food Service or RestaurantRetail / Merchandising ExperienceManagement ExperienceMeet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, including drug screening.Benefits
