Job Purpose

This role provides senior-level clinical leadership to Centria in alignment with Centria Autism’s Optimal Outcomes Model, Service Integrity and Care Delivery. An individual in this position will act as a clinical leader to the operation, through the direct support and oversight of the implementation and execution of Universal Protocols for the start of care for all clients, deliver specific organizational clinical training and support, and overseeing the reduction of problematic behavior. A leader in this position will function as a strategic partner to our clinicians, regional directors, and clinical leadership team, serving as an expert on the implementation of practical functional assessment, skills-based treatment, and de-escalation practices. The Director of Functional Assessment and Treatment Implementation contributes to clinical services by shifting daily clinical practice through direct implementation training to establish and oversee the values which will drive our clinical service; dignity, safety, and trust, through specifying the opening outcomes for all clients, the specific procedures aligned from our values that meet these outcomes, and the required competency staff need to scale these interventions across their caseload. The Director of Clinical Functional Assessment and Treatment Implementation will work closely with clinical leadership to evaluate opportunity areas within our systems to build innovative clinical solutions that add value to the enterprise. This role will be responsible for developing strong relationships with and mentorship of the clinical team to coach, counsel, and train where appropriate to help support overall clinical performance.

 

Success in this role will be evaluated through a combination of measures including organization level clinical outcomes, financial performance, and clinician, technician, and client retention.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Function as a Clinical Leader by overseeing the training, competency, and successful implementation by RCDs, Supervising Clinicians, and Technicians in the implementation of clinicalinitiatives:

Implementation of the Do Wonders Framework that defines care for all clients:: Work alongside the VP of Functional Assessment and Treatment to provide ongoing training and mentorship of a protocol that effectively guides all Supervising Clinicians through the appropriate initial assessment and treatment based in the Do Wonders
Framework and Centria’s standard of clinical care for all clients.
o Oversee and continuously improve the practice and implementation of systems that provide ongoing execution, competency, and clinical progress as it relates to clinical initiatives.
o Provide support to the system that escalates the need for ongoing consultation for supervising clinicians with clients exhibiting significant interfering behavior, lack of progress, complex case support, at risk clients, discharge needs, etc.
o Partnering with the Vice President of Functional Assessment and Treatment, identify clinicians and clients requiring additional supports and continue providing clinical support. Provide training, guidance, and competency to RCDs to become regional supporters of their clinicians using functional assessment and treatment. Contribute to the ongoing professional development by providing data to the Vice President of Functional Assessment and Treatment to identify training needs for the organization, coaching and mentoring opportunities for RCDs, Supervising

Provide internal and external clinical thought leadership to the clinical department and the Vice President of Functional Assessment and Treatment.

Attend clinical meetings, participate in clinical thought process, and provides ongoing data to the VP of Functional Assessment and Treatment for the ongoing development of clinical initiatives. Attend conferences and seminars as a participant, company ambassador, and, when needed, a presenter. Interface with payers and other external stakeholders to enhance the Centria brand Interface with payers, internal clinicians, regional supporters, and other stakeholders to effectively communicate the Centria mission.

 

Managerial Responsibility

The role of the Director of Functional Assessment and Treatment Implementation may have direct supervisory responsibilities. Additionally, provide coaching and mentorship to influence identified Regional Clinical Directors and Supervising Clinicians.

Qualifications

 

Education Masters Level degree in Applied Behavior Analysis required BCBA-D or BCBA certification required Training in Practical Functional Assessment and Skills Based Treatment Work Experience 4 + years of clinical experience as a BCBA in the reduction of problematic behavior 2 + years operating at a director level with leadership responsibilities Experience as a faculty member at an accredited university preferred Equipment and Technology Experience PC proficient Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet) Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated the skills to gain buy-in for change within current role with peers. Interpersonal skills to support providing feedback to clinicians on their clinical performance. Great communicator who works best in a collaborative environment and builds mutual trust and credibility at all levels of the organization; Effective leader with demonstrated success in self-management, performance management and relationship management Ability to work across a matrixed organization; Ability to lead by influence; Superior skills in time management, observation, and data analysis; Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivated to achieve goals; ABA clinical knowledge; Experience with process optimization. Additional time and shifts in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives. Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
