**The UWB School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Graduate Programs to join their team.**
The Director of Graduate Programs oversees the functioning of the Graduate Programs Office in the School of Business. The primary responsibilities of the director are to grow enrollment in the School’s credit-bearing graduate programs; contribute to strategic planning efforts and ensure its effective implementation; supervise the efficient and effective working of the Office and the employees therein; ensure compliance with University policies; and provide insights and recommendations to the School’s leadership and faculty on graduate education.
This is a critical position for the University and the School as they seek to expand graduate offerings. To bring in more students, deliver programs to meet student and employer needs through a responsive and efficient graduate office, this position of the director, requiring a high level of responsibility and strategic thinking, will ensure the growth and success of graduate programs.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Leadership
+ Lead the Graduate Programs Office (GPO) in ensuring the successful delivery of academic programs at various locations through different modalities to all categories of students
+ Contribute to strategic planning efforts for graduate programs and be responsible for its implementation
+ Work with school's leadership and faculty to review, develop/revise, and implement policies pertaining to graduate students and program delivery
+ Guide, supervise, and support all members of the GPO in effectively discharging their responsibilities; managing workload, training, mentoring, and performance appraisal of direct reports
+ Stay abreast of the routine working of the GPO, anticipate and address issues that arise
+ Represent the School in campus/University-wide committees on graduate education and serve as a liaison to other offices
+ As appropriate, represent the School to external entities on matters pertaining to graduate education
+ Partner with the School Administrator to create and manage the budget for the School’s fee-based graduate program(s)
+ Participate in the School’s Graduate Council to inform discussions on graduate programs and policies
+ Advise the School’s leadership on the functioning of the GPO and about emergent issues in graduate education
+ Lead the staff in working as a cohesive team to implement Unit goalsMarketing
+ Use data and judgement to set and propose enrollment targets for the various graduate programs
+ Develop recruiting and marketing strategies and execute plans to market the graduate programs to generate applications and meet enrollment goals using various tools (e.g., using different media formats, outreach events, individual and corporate engagement, etc.) to reach prospective students
+ Seek and proactively engage in opportunities to market the graduate programs.
+ Ensure all public facing (e.g., website, information brochures, and social media) information about graduate programs, program outcomes, application procedures and materials, etc., are always current and up to date
+ Ensure application portals, processes, and processing are set appropriately and working effectively across all graduate programs.
+ Ensure familiarity with the content of the academic programs, requirements for admission and program completion, dates, and deadlines, university policies regarding graduate education, availability of and eligibility for scholarships and other awards, and related matters, so as to be able to convey to prospective students and other constituencies.
+ Be responsible for successful organization of marketing and recruiting events including necessary follow-ups
+ Ensure timely and accurate response to prospective student enquiries and follow up as needed
+ Responsibly manage the marketing budget in compliance with University policies
+ Collect and analyze information on trends in graduate business education and use market intelligence to inform the School’s leadership on its graduate program offerings and practices and guide marketing choices.Accreditation and Data Collection/Reporting
+ Stay UpToDate on AACSB standards, especially as they pertain to graduate education; keep faculty and School leadership informed of changes
+ Monitor progress towards meeting “assurance of learning” goals and provide regular reports
+ Systematically collect, analyze, and provide reports on graduate programs’ enrollments, projections, trends, and graduation outcomes of alumni and be responsible for the archiving of information.
+ Collaborate with the University’s Alumni office to maintain updated information on graduate programs alumniOther duties
+ Ensure the timely award of scholarships to graduate students
+ Attend programmatic celebratory events
+ Serve as a backup when any team member is on leave/absent
+ Other tasks as assigned. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
+ Master's in Business Administration, or related field and at least 3 years of experience with managing graduate academic programs. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Leadership experience as a supervisor
+ Evidence of strong project management and problem-solving skills
+ Experience with using various computer programs such as Slate, Canvas, Microsoft Office Suite, Work Day, etc.
+ Excellent communication (spoken, written, and nonverbal) and interpersonal skills **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Familiarity with a University’s Graduate School policies and procedures

+ Position reports to the Associate Dean for Administration
+ Position supervises Program Operations Specialist and Graduate Advisors
+ Office space provided for in-person interactions; some telecommuting possible
