JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Strategy, Growth & Development will be a key leader within the Sales and Marketing team, responsible for executing critical business priorities in support of REV’s mission. This role will be instrumental in defining the strategy for various marketing and sales initiatives, driving strategically aligned growth, and developing a competitive and compelling product portfolio offering. This individual will partner closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and executive leadership across all business units to advance the following scope of work. ESSENTIAL DUITES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include but are not limited to): Strategy Branding & messaging: Execute branding strategies to enhance awareness and deliver cohesive messaging across platforms, reinforcing the organization’s value proposition. Fiber positioning: Position fiber products as industry leaders by emphasizing technical advantages and aligning messaging with customer needs. Customer contact strategy: Optimize multi-channel engagement strategies for personalized, timely communication that nurtures relationships and drives results. Market research: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover trends, understand customer behavior, and identify growth opportunities. Competitive analysis: Analyze competitor strategies and market performance to inform strategic decisions and identify advantages. Segmentation: Create customer segmentation frameworks based on behaviors and preferences to enable targeted marketing and service delivery. Martech tools (ZoomInfo, Yesware, etc.): Utilize marketing technologies to streamline processes, enhance targeting, and improve campaign outcomes. CRM utilization: Leverage CRM platforms to track interactions, analyze data, and enhance decision-making and customer experiences. Business intelligence/analytics: Use analytics to gain actionable insights, track performance metrics, and identify growth opportunities. Pricing & promotions: Develop pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive demand, increase profitability, and expand market reach. Cross-business unit integration: Promote collaboration across business units to ensure unified strategy execution and seamless customer experiences. Business prioritization: Focus on initiatives with the highest potential impact, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Growth: Revenue generation Acquisition: Attract new customers through targeted campaigns, partnerships, and optimized sales strategies. Upsell: Encourage premium upgrades by aligning offers with customer needs and showcasing added value. Cross-sell: Implement strategies to sell complementary products, enhancing customer satisfaction and revenue. Customer retention Affinity programs: Create tailored programs to foster customer engagement and loyalty. Loyalty programs: Design rewards programs to boost repeat purchases and strengthen brand allegiance. High propensity to churn programs: Use analytics to identify and retain at-risk customers with targeted campaigns. New business ventures: Develop new revenue streams through market exploration, partnerships, and innovative solutions. Agent channel programs: Strengthen agent relationships with support, incentives, and training to maximize performance. Referral programs: Launch programs to encourage customers and partners to recommend products, driving organic growth. Product Development: Product portfolio management: Oversee product lifecycles to align with market demands and business objectives. Product positioning: Define unique value propositions to differentiate products and align with customer needs. New product launches: Plan and execute strategies for launching new products, including market analysis and campaigns. Existing product enhancements: Improve products based on customer feedback, market trends, and technological advancements. Product resell agreements: Manage third-party agreements to expand offerings through strategic reselling. Customer tutorials & job aids: Create resources to help customers maximize product value. Legacy product conversions: Transition customers to newer offerings with minimal disruption. Strategic initiatives: Lead projects that align with strategic goals and drive long-term growth.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises one or more employees Oversees and manages department related expenditures Balances cost saving measures with needs of department/organization Leads in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees including planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; appraising performance, planning and reviewing compensation actions; addressing complaints and resolving problems with the assistance of HR Adheres to all Company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team Performs other tasks conveyed by the Executive Leadership team KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Strong understanding of marketing, product life cycle, and data analysis Makes data-driven decisions Displays leadership and project management skills Ability to interface at all levels of the organization Ability to publicly address sizable groups in multiple forms, clearly communicating the goals of the program, and accurately responding to questions when making a presentation concerning the company Ability to create strategic plans and to execute those plans Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to anticipate problems and follow through to complete tasks successfully Champions positive customer service orientation Exercises discernment in confidential matters Develops and maintains successful interdepartmental relationships Excellent organizational skills and ability Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while clearly specifying objectives and realistic time frames Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES: Bachelor’s degree in a related field 10+ years’ experience in marketing Proven experience in a growth-focused role Experience building and cultivating high performing teams Exceptional public relations, verbal, and written communication skills High level of competency with data analysis and relevant software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project Preferred: Experience at a consumer-facing business
