Director of Growth Strategy - Aerospace & Defense

 

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing the growth strategy for all Aerospace & Defense labs in the North American Aerospace Market (NAAM). Actively engage the NAAM, with the goal of building senior-level business relationships with MISTRAS’ customer base and implementing a mid/long-term sales growth plan consistent with MISTRAS’ overall business strategy. Develop, articulate, and help deliver differentiated, value-added solutions to MISTRAS’ customers.  Apply knowledge of NAAM and its business drivers to increase MISTRAS’ market share, revenues, and profits. Maintain awareness of new/ongoing projects and coordinate with MISTRAS’ Regional Ops Managers and VPs to ensure resource availability for services delivery. Formulate the go-to-market strategy, and coordinate on other needs in the business to bridge any existing resource constraints. Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure goals and targets are met. Working with senior operational stakeholders, design optimal Aerospace operations network and standardize practices across different labs. Responsible for leading and project managing the execution of the growth strategy plans, including the creation and execution of capex plans

Minimum Requirements: 

Minimum 10 years of combined business/ market development and operations experience in sales, customer relations, marketing, and business development serving the aerospace and defense markets. Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, marketing, or technical degree. Ability to identify business opportunities and apply innovative strategies and solutions. Need to exhibit effective communication skills and strong problem solving. Ability to create presentations, proposals, and business plans. Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally. Travel expectation is minimum 50%. Familiarity with social media, industry publications, and competitors of the company. A good understanding of how market research works and what results mean for a business. Knowledge in preparing company budgets, sales quotas, commission structures. Proficient in CRM applications.
