Director of Healthcare Sales

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Healthcare Sales to join our Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the medical and healthcare industry, demonstrating the ability to drive revenue growth and build strong relationships with referring providers and health systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in implementing effective sales strategies, managing a sales team, and working collaboratively with other departments to achieve company goals. The Director of Healthcare Sales will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing referring provider relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction across multiple orthopedic practices nationally. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing industry trends. The successful candidate will be results-oriented, highly motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include setting sales targets, analyzing market trends, and providing regular reports to leadership. The Director of Healthcare Sales will also be involved in training and mentoring sales staff, developing marketing materials, and representing the company at industry events. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

As a key member of the Marketing Team the Director of Healthcare Sales will: 

Use data to develop and implement effective sales strategies focused on growing orthopedic service lines, subspecialties and locations.Manage, train and mentor sales staff.Identify new referral growth opportunities.Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities for increased patient access.Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships.Ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly.Set and achieve sales targets and develop incentive bonus structures.Manage and identify local and national partnership and sponsorship opportunities.Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.Provide regular sales reports to leadership.Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals.Develop marketing materials and sales presentations.Reviews practice month end reports, to include but not limited to new patient counts by provider, revenues, and targeted service lines.Prepares monthly marketing reports and other marketing reports, as needed.Performs special projects as requested.Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in managing and mentoring a sales team Healthcare and sales experience preferred, with an understanding of managed care and reimbursement dynamics (payor strategy) and subspecialty growth

SKILLS/ABILITIES

SalesForxce experience preferredAbility to track, trend and understand data relevant to growth and opportunityDriven and self-motivated with the ability to perform at a high level working autonomously when neededUnderstanding of business data/outcomes and experience using data to support/refute hypotheses, build strategies and guide actionsTechnically literate with computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platform(s) and EMRsA client service mentality – you understand that we exist to support and deliver for the practices that are part of UMPPassion and infectious enthusiasm for the brand you represent
