The Role of Director of Housekeeping:
We currently have an opportunity for Director of Housekeeping to join our team in Venice, Italy!
Reporting to the Director of Rooms, you will be involved in the strategic planning and target setting for the hotel and your responsibilities will include: recruit, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all housekeeping & laundry employees in ensuring that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for departments’ operation; control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control; resolve guests’ complaints, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; ensure all standards are followed and proactively implement efficient policies according to company and local requirements; hold departmental meeting and foster an open communication environment and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Our Ideal Director of Housekeeping candidate will have:
3 to 5 years of experience as a Director of Housekeeping, preferably with a luxury Hospitality brand, strong working knowledge of Italian labor law, and fluency in English and Italian.
